Gresham House is a bench made upholstery manufacturer. Each piece is made by hand by a single seamstress and upholsterer.

They use only the highest quality environmentally sustainable Canadian raw materials.

Their standard line products offer a vast selection for all members of the design community, but they can customize pieces to suit your needs…..or have them start from scratch and design a custom piece just for you and your client.

The Frame - It all starts with the frame. 1 ¼" thick solid kiln dried hardwood, corner blocked, dowelled, screwed and glued – only the best!

Sinuous Springs - You thought that sinuous springs won’t last? The way they do it – the springs will last forever!

Upholstery - Their upholstery is fully padded on the frame including the outside back and arms. No charge options such as welt or seam only, allows their upholsterers to show their skills with each piece. Training their craftsmen is a top priority to allow them to create Gresham’s designs (and yours) with great care and attention to detail.

Standard Cushions - Standard seat cushions are made with eco friendly foam that is extremely durable and wrapped with a soft fibre, channeled so that it won’t move around, and finished in a cotton casing to ensure durability. You can feel the weight of their cushions – only the best!

Feather Cushions - For a luxurious sit, try the feather blend. 100% waterfowl feather wrap for seats with a foam core and 60% waterfowl feather, 40% fibre for the backs. For the ultimate luxury, choose their down fill (20% down, 80% waterfowl feather in the backs and envelope wrap seats).

Cutting And Sewing - all fabrics they receive are reviewed by our expert staff to confirm pattern placements and other details to ensure the best final result. Welt is cut on the bias and sewn individually, Gresham’s experienced sewers sew the welt to the band and then sew it a second time to the casing… they don’t cut any corners! Every fabric is cut by hand for each frame, allowing the best results for the fabrics specified.

Once your furniture arrives at DCRC it is inspected and prepped for delivery to your customer’s home.
